Now that I moved back to Oaxaca, I’ve started to notice the richness of this city. Probably I didn’t notice it before because I was used to it and now I get to see everything differently, I guess that’s has a lot to do with my cultural and artistic education that I got while living in Puebla.
I’m trying to capture all those details that I find outstanding, from colors, to shapes and textures.
This is a small sample of those pictures that I’ve taken downtown Oaxaca, Mexico (considered World Heritage by the UNESCO since 1987).
This love for Oaxaca leads me to a need of learning more about it and that’s how I found interesting information like it was established in 1526 by Carlos V and until 1821 “Antequera” was the name that the Spanish monarchy gave to the city.
Have you ever been in Oaxaca, Mexico or heard about it?
