Few day ago my mom and I went to San Antonino Velasco Castillo in Oaxaca in order to buy some stuffs she needed, while I was driving I saw a newly weds walking out from the church, I took out my camera and did few pictures, then some relatives to the couple approached to us and gave us some branches from a tree called poleo and invited us to join them in their celebration, of course I couldn’t resist the invitation, we went to the house of one of the relatives to have something to drink. Once we arrived, I started taking pictures to the couple and guests. I got to confess that it was a little bit hard to take pictures and drinking, they were serving us mezcal (similar to tequila).
The people didn’t stay there too long because they still had to go to were the party was going to be, it was just a pause for refreshments.
I had some other things to do that day so that’s why I didn’t stay there longer. But I promised them to return and give them some prints of the pictures I took to them.
This is something I love about Oaxaca, you never know what you’re going to find in their streets and who are you going to meet.
