I love attending Santa Inés Tecuexcomac’s feast celebration.
This happens every year on the third Sunday of January where a Tecuexcomac’s home hosts a big party at their home serving Mole (South Mexico traditional meal) pork meat and a side dish, rice.
There’s a nice tradition, guest may bring a container and the host or hostess shares food to take home.
Space might be limited so after enjoying the delicious meal you must relinquish your seat to another guest. After the wonderful meal guests can enjoy a walk towards the town’s church and listen to the local orchestra playing.
Surrounding the church you will find a lot of different attractions and food stands that are hard to resist them.
Once the night falls in Santa Inés, the fireworks start followed by an outdoors concert one block away from the church.
This has been the sixth time I’ve been there.
I want to thank my dear friend Lyz and her family.
